Relief & Recovery CBD Product Line Launch

It has been three years since Dorsi Health has been incorporated. We started out in the industry with only three simple products, but have expanded to 13 products. The inclusion of the Relief & Recovery line is perhaps our proudest product launch because of both the timing and the products.

Why is the timing of the launch important? 2020 was a year that certainly was out of the norm for everyone and every business, but the CBD industry had a huge pivot and is at an inflexion point right now. We described in our 20 CBD Trends in 2020 changing consumer demand online and new product developments. Both predictive trends turned true and led to a product set that like CBD prior to the 2018 Farm Bill Act is in a gray legal area. Delta 8-THC products filled the void when consumer demand dropped for CBD and the supply of CBD and hemp in continued to increase. The market inverted from where it was in previous years and supply exceeded the demand and in 2020 manufacturers and sellers had to pivot hard to increase sales, enter Delta-8 THC.

Delta-8 THC, referred to as weed light by some users, produces similar psychoactive effects as Delta 9 THC without the paranoia that some consumers feel with traditional THC products. It is important to note that Delta-8 is not a naturally occurring cannabinoid. Instead Delta-8 is synthetically derived from CBD using a solvent such as Toluene or Heptane. With the introduction of Delta-8 many brands are moving away from traditional CBD products since it mirrored some of the effect of marijuana.

Now to be clear we are not against the increase in Delta-8 products and if consumers feel the benefit and have access to quality lab tested Delta 8 products that is fantastic. However, we will not carry Delta-8 due to our wellness brand and samples we received from manufacturers that claimed their products were lab tested but after sending in samples for testing we found products were contaminated with not only the residual solvents at a high level, but also mold.

We see the timing of the launch of our Relief & Recovery line to be opposite of what most CBD wellness brands are doing and we are fine with that. Our mission has always been to provide high quality CBD and wellness products at affordable prices and this product line meets our mission statement.

The Relief & Recovery line includes a topical cream and niche capsules. The topical is similar to our best-selling extra strength roll on product but does contain a few tweaks. The Relief and Recovery topical cream contains 2,000mg of Isolate CBD with 500mg of Arnica, and is 3.8% Menthol. The product also contains soothing organic aloe leaf juice, organic shea butter, organic cocoa butter, and organic white willow bark to soothe and moisturize your skin. The Relief and Recovery topical is a cooling cream that absorbs fast to help aches, pains, and strains, while also providing a moisture barrier for your skin and a soothing smell.

Our Relief and Recovery Capsules are another dive into our niche ingestible space. Each capsule contains 20mg of Isolate CBD and 80mg of our Dorsi Health Pain and Inflammation blend. The Pain and Inflammation blend is a blend of Arnica Powder, Acai Powder, Glucosamine, Turmeric Curcumin, Quercetin, and Beta Alanine.

Taking a deeper dive in the ingredients shows just how powerful each product is on its own and how each has synergistic benefits when taken together.

• Menthol- used in all of our topicals. Active ingredient in Biofreeze. It is used to provide temporary relief of minor arthritis pain, backaches, muscles and joint pain.
• Arnica- used in both Relief & Recovery products. Arnica is used in alternative medicine for treating muscle soreness and joint aches
• Acia Powder- used in our Pain and Inflammation capsule blend. Known as a superfood rich in antioxidants but also has anti-inflammatory benefits
• Glucosamine- used in our Pain and Inflammation capsule blend and also a natural compound found in cartilage. Glucosamine helps treat pain associated with inflammation.
• Turmeric Curcumin- used in our Pain and Inflammation capsule blend. Turmeric is known as for its anti-inflammatory property and is used as an antioxidant as well.

Each ingredient is carefully chosen for their synergy with each other and CBD. Our Relief & Recovery product line is one of very few on the market that contains CBD, Menthol, and Arnica in topical form and CBD, Arnica, Acai, Glucosamine, and Turmeric Curcumin in a capsules form.
