Q: Is CBD Legal?
A: Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill CBD derived from Hemp is 100% legal in all 50 states. One key distinction is the product must contain less than 0.3% of THC.
Q: Does CBD get you high?
A: No. CBD does not have any psychoactive effects such as those caused by THC. Please be cautious of other products sold in the hemp category such as Delta-8 and Delta-10. Those products will have similar effects as THC products.
Q: Is Hemp Oil the same as CBD?
A: No. Hemp oil, or hemp seed oil, is oil delivered directly from the seeds of the hemp plant which do not contain CBD. CBD oil is extracted from a variety of aerial parts from the mature hemp plant including its stalks and flowers. Hemp seed oil does not have the same benefits of CBD. Hemp oil based products are typically sold on Amazon with high mg “potencies” such as 10,000mg, but do not contain any cannabinoids.
Q: Does the FDA regulate or approve CBD products?
A: No. Just like many supplements found on the shelves at GNC and other supplement stores right now (as of 2022) the FDA does not regulate CBD products.
